Central Maine Atheist Alliance is a group of atheists, agnostics, non-believers, and whatever other synonym you like here in the backwoods of Central Maine. It was created to provide an opportunity for other atheists in the area to meet and discuss issues we care about. It's easy in this area to feel like the only non-believer for hundreds of miles, and so I'm hopeful that this group will help give some support and a sense of community for you out there, wherever you are.
If you're atheist, agnostic, humanist, or doubtful of your faith, or if you have friends or family who are and you want to show your support, you're welcome. If you want to try to change our minds, convert, debate, trick, or threaten anyone here, you are not. Intelligent, thoughtful, and genuine questions will be met with as much care and compassion as the querent provides in asking; I do, however, ask that you do some researching online about your question before asking it here. I'm not here to re-invent the wheel.
Examples of ban-worthy behavior include threats, name-calling, attempts to preach, attempts to convert, stalking, trolling, spamming, and otherwise being a total asshole.
