New? Introduce yourself here!

So you're a non-believer.  So you live in Maine.  So you've found this website.

"Well," you may be asking, "now what?"

  • To start with, "Follow" this site.  In the right margin, about 1/3 to 1/2 way down, you'll see a button that says  "Follow" and some thumbnail pictures of people already following us.
  • Post a comment here!  Introduce yourself.  Say as much or as little as you think people need to know about you.  If you want folks to email you, post your email address. We recommend the format [yourname](at)[mailhost](dot)com.  (So for example, our email is centralmaineatheists(at)gmail(dot)com.  Doing it that way decreases the likelihood of spambots flooding your email inbox.)  Remember!  Everyone can see what's posted here, so don't be too personal.  Don't post your phone number, home address, or full name, for example.
  • Ask if you can blog here.  Like to write?  Got something on your mind?  Go to this page and ask to be added as a blogger here.
  • Consider hosting an event.  Wouldn't it be great to meet in person?  Whether it's to discuss separation of church and state, watch a football game, or go for a walk, one of the great thing churches have that we don't yet have is time to get together as a group.  If you're interested in hosting an event, big or small, send an email to centralmaineatheists(at)gmail(dot)com and we'll add it to our calendar!
Now then... nice to meet you!  Tell us about yourself below!

  1. I'll start. Hi, I'm the "Admin"; I'm a 36-year-old married woman living in the Dover-Foxcroft area. I like writing, knitting, playing music, and spending way too much time on the computer. I work in a convenience store to make ends meet. I live in an old rural farmhouse with my husband and cat (the latter of which is on my lap as we speak).

  2. Great site! The videos of Richard Dawkins reading his hate mail and the Marcus Brigstocke rant are awesome. I am a 45 year old man living in the Farmington area still recovering from the trauma of my fundamentalist upbringing :) All the Best!
